What type of shoe for you?

Being retired Navy, a good chunk of my adult life was spent wearing the shoes that the Navy told me to wear. For the most part if I wasn't in uniform I was in a pair of Nikes. Very rarely could I been seen in something different.
I still have a pair of black tie dress shoes but for the most part I'm in some form of slip on shoes. Just before I retired from the Navy I had a part time job at Sears. That was when I was introduced to Lands End. I noticed a lot of my customers were wearing the Lands End all-weather moccasins. My curiosity got the better of me so I bought a pair to find out what was so spectacular about them.
Today, my shoe choices revolve around the moccasin/slip on type of shoes. The black Lands End all-weather moccasins still remains my main go to choice but I have a pair of Hi-Tec beige moccasins and have even added a cognac pair of the Skechers slip ons.
Since I try to be frugal when I can, my plan is to primarily wear the Hi-Tec and Skechers until they need replacing then replace them with Lands End.
Lands End does seem a little bit more expensive than a lot of clothing lines but they often have descent sales going on which brings them more competitive with other brands. They also have a wide variety of footwear not just moccasins.
Great job! I liked how you emphasized how turning to slip-ons helped you retain (and find) your individuality, post-Navy.
